Criterio Taller

01Comparison

Two of our own tools for two ways of running a workshop.

In short

Gestión Taller is a simple Android app that runs at the workshop with no internet, suited to a local setup that one person or several can use. MecánicOS is web software for shared work, several devices and access from off site, with one or up to five users depending on the plan.

Who it's for

For anyone who already knows both names and wants a straight comparison that includes the limits as well as the features, before taking the next step.

The real problem

Choosing by the number of features leads to putting in too much, or falling short. The real fit shows up when you compare platform, connection, users and where you work from.

What decides it

It depends on how you work, not on a feature list

Gestión Taller keeps the work on Android and at the workshop. MecánicOS centralises the organisation on the web so it can be shared. Both cover the core of the workshop, but they are not interchangeable once working without internet or getting in from off site comes into play.

The differences, one by one

  • 01Gestión Taller: Android, local, no internet needed, web access on the workshop network
  • 02MecánicOS: web from computer, phone and tablet
  • 03MecánicOS: users, roles, assigned mechanics, stock and profitability
  • 04Both: customers, vehicles, repairs, orders and documents

A possible move, not an obligation

A workshop can start with Gestión Taller and move to MecánicOS if the team grows or it needs access from off site. There is an import for customers, vehicles and repairs. That import covers those three; not other data.

Three common situations

01

The connection fails

If the internet doesn't reach the workshop properly, Gestión Taller keeps the work moving.

02

Front desk, office and workshop

If several people need the same order at once, that's what MecánicOS solves.

03

You need both

If you need to work with no internet and open it from off site, sort your priorities before choosing.

Before you decide

01Which is better for a sole trader?

Gestión Taller usually fits better: it is simple, runs on Android, works at the workshop and keeps going with no internet. Unless you need access from off site or several devices.

02Which is better for several users?

MecánicOS, if you need to work on the same records at once. Basic allows one user and Pro up to five, with roles and assigned mechanics.

03Can I move from Gestión Taller to MecánicOS?

Yes, there is an importer for customers, vehicles and repairs. It's worth considering the move when the way you work changes.
